Buffalo Lodging Associates Tops Out Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport Hotel, Opening Summer 2011

Buffalo Lodging Associates, LLC, a hotel development and management company held a Topping Out Ceremony on November 30 for the Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport hotel, scheduled to open next summer. The 5-story, 139-room hotel is located at 4243 Genesee Street in Cheektowaga, NY, directly across from the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport. This will be Buffalo Lodging's fifth hotel to open in the Town of Cheektowaga.

The Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport Topping Out event signified completion of the exterior construction of the hotel. The ceremony commenced with an introduction by Buffalo Lodging's president, Ron Kendall, along with a few words from Cheektowaga Town Supervisor, Mary Holtz. Mr. Kendall illustrated the Courtyard by Marriott brand concept with large photographs of the prospective hotel and thanked Mary and the town board for their assistance and cooperation on the project. The presentation was followed by a buffet lunch and ceremonial Topping Out activities of hoisting an evergreen tree atop the building along with the American and New York State flags.

Guests of the Topping Out ceremony included Town of Cheektowaga Supervisor, Mary Holtz, members of the Buffalo Niagara Convention & Visitors Bureau, plus numerous clients of Buffalo Lodging Associates' Buffalo-area hotels. Lunch was also provided for the construction team of the new Courtyard by Marriott.

For onsite dining, the Bistro will offer high quality, healthy menu options for breakfast; and light evening fare, including snacks, wine and beer so guests can unwind. Starbucks® coffee products will also be available in the Bistro. The large business library will feature several complimentary computer terminals along with a free printer and separate computer stations dedicated to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight status. In addition to the great interior spaces, Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport will feature an outdoor patio with a fire pit for guests to relax and enjoy during the warm weather months.

Spacious rooms will offer plush bedding, HDTVs and a comfortable sitting area. Complimentary high speed internet access will be available in all guest rooms, along with Wi-Fi in public spaces. The hotel will also feature a state-of-the-art fitness center, an indoor pool and whirlpool, plus a meeting room.
