Fort Caspar Museum is hosting a new traveling exhibit from the Wyoming State Museum in Cheyenne. "Room for the Night: Roadside Lodging in Wyoming" is open through Dec. 4. This photographic exhibit explores the transformation of Wyoming roadside lodging from hotels to motels during the late 19th and 20th centuries. From downtown hotels, auto camps, cabin camps and motor courts to the modern hotel, Room for the Night traces the architecture along Wyoming's highways.

Well-known Wyoming hotels such as The Virginian in Medicine Bow, The Irma in Cody and The Plains Hotel in Cheyenne, are featured in this exhibit along with many other places of lodging throughout the state.

For more information, call 235-8462 or go to www.fortcasparwyoming.com. The museum is open daily from 8 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in September. Admission fees are: children 12 and under free; youth 13-18, $2; and adults 19 and over, $3.

Beginning Oct. 1 through April 30, the museum is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. The fort buildings are closed in the winter and admission is half-price.
