(AP) -- Host Hotels & Resorts Inc., which owns hotels that operate under numerous brands across the United States and in Europe and Chile, said Tuesday it has appointed Timothy Marvin as senior vice president of acquisitions. Marvin most recently was senior vice president of lodging development at Marriott International Inc. He will focus on identifying real estate investments in North America, Brazil and Latin America. Shares in Host Hotels & Resorts rose 56 cents, or 3.8 percent, to $15.31 on Tuesday.
